Hi there, Recently, macros and VBA have stopped working completely in my version of Excel. I have the following symptoms:.
According to Microsoft, Excel 2011 for Mac features a full port of the Windows Office VBA environment; in most cases, the OS X and Windows versions of VBA now mirror each other. After reading all the great things about Microsoft Excel for Mac 2011 that were. Was to have an Excel version on my MacBook Pro that allowed VBA macros,.

When opening a file with macros in it, Excel completes an 'open and repair' cycle, and removes the VBA code (listed in the repair log file). When attempting to record a macro, after being presented with the Record Macro dialogue box and click OK, I am presented with this error message 'Unable to record'.
When opening the VBA editor, only the Project window in visible (which is completely empty). No other windows can be opened, and if I try to open one via the View menu, I receive an error message stating there is an invalid DLL. It's almost as if VBA has been uninstalled, but I would never have opted for this. Can anyone please suggest what might be wrong here and how to rectify it? Many thanks Jamie.
